RANT

Seriously, what gives people the right to comment on other people's appearance. I recently dyed my hair from blonde to pastel green. I loved it, but all I got was shit from other people. One guy at my work literally came up to me and said 'why would you do that to yourself?! I don't know whats worse?!.' I was gutted so I changed my hair back that night, thinking, obviously this isn't appropriate for daytime.

So I went on a night out with one of my friends to places I don't usually go, wearing a blue green wig (which I normally wear on nights out.) All I got was shit from people. The most disgusting filthy (and by this I mean physically unwashed) man I have ever seen came up to me and said 'What the f**k is that?!' and then said 'how the f**k would someone like you get a job.' My lovely friend sprung to my defence, but all I can think is why should I have to put up with shit from other people just because of a look. Its just not fair. I'm out with my friends having a few drinks just like everybody else. Beyond anything else, I just think its rude. I would have never gone up to someone on a night out (or in a work environment) and said, 'what the hell are you wearing, you look vile' even if i though it. I truly believe that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything, its so pointless.

I am totally sick of negativity about appearance, Ive dealt with it all through school and you know what, when you point the finger theres another 3 back at you. If you have a negative opinion on something like hair colour, then fine, have that opinion but keep it to yourself, I don't think anyone will care to hear it. 

I'm really annoyed at myself for changing my hair back for a few harsh words. I just cant deal with the hassle you get for things like that. I have never before given a thought to what other people think of me, but I just feel so battered by these last few days. I'm extremely lucky to have such good friends and an amazing boyfriend who all pick me up when I'm down, but recently Ive just had enough. I am SICK of trying to please other people, SICK of listening to idiots, and I really will just do what I want from now on because life really is too short.
